Tisbury Memory Group is very grateful each year to be allocated a number of complimentary tickets to the wonderful CELEBRATE VOICE afternoon concert at Salisbury Guildhall. Our members greatly enjoy it. So much so, that for the past 2 years, with no travel funding being available for rural dwellers, and insufficient volunteer drivers, some members have travelled the sixteen miles each way on the Salisbury Reds bus service. By a stroke of luck the public bus timetable accommodated this.
The superb concert, held on 7th November in the Banqueting Hall, featured the international cast of the festival opera and, as ever, the ethos to bring quality music-making to people who might not ordinarily have access to live performances. Celebrate Voice says: "The concert stands as testament to the profound impact of music and the arts with the power to rejuvenate the spirit and create joyful connection". We heartily agree.
